Effect of Training on Job Satisfaction

 
 

The research will use both quantitative methods. Data will be gathered through the use of questionnaires. The intended procedure for data collection is through Random Sampling. It is proposed that data will be collected from both Operational and Management level employees. Data will be gathered from a "Choose Your Business Entity".

Research Title: The Affect of Training on Job Satisfaction.

Objectives

1. To find out the Influence of completion of Training Objectives on satisfaction with training/learning event.

2. Impact of conveying the importance of training for the staff. “What’s In it for the Staff ”

3. Influence of Organisational Development Initiatives for Employee on Achievement of Job Satisfaction and does job satisfaction increases organizational commitment by employees.

4. The role of trainer in achievement of efficacy of the training program.

5. The Impact of Employee participation/satisfaction with training programmes (Initial Technical Training) on Employee Job Satisfaction.

6. The Positive Impact of a Training program/ the skills/the contents, an employee can identify with or needs to acquire to perform his duties more effectively.

7. The Contribution of ability of employees to apply their learning from training session at the workplace and its contribution to satisfaction. (Concept of Transfer of Learning)

9. Contribution of an Effective training program in Employee Retention.

10. How employees express their job satisfaction. For example : Are they willing to go an extra mile (Put More Effort), Are they comfortable telling others they work for the organisation, Do they feel at home while at work, and Employee is of the opinion that they don’t need to be monitored and realise their responsibilities and think of organisation as their own. etc

Research Questions

1. Were training objectives properly conveyed and accomplished.

2. Having told about the training program that “What in this training for them” or “why shall they do this training” helped gain commitment to training program.

3. Organisational initiatives like learning events/training programs for employee growth has positively impacted the staff.

4. Having a helpful and well prepared trainer helps in achievement of satisfaction with training/development initiatives

5. The skills acquired through training/development programs helps staff in increasing job satisfaction.

6. Were staff members able to identify with the contents of the training and development programs?

7. The Employees were provided an atmosphere for training rather than teaching which helped in achieving Job Satisfaction

8. Participants of the training event had the chance to transfer the learning from the training to work.

9. The training Program has helped the employee to stay with the organisation. (Employee Retention)

10. Employee expression of Job Satisfaction

  • b. Staff enjoy are good rapport with the staff
  • c. Staff is comfortable in telling others they work for the organisation
